BU's standings in the US News yearly rankingsQuite BrightEconomics
BU's standings in the US News yearly rankings keeps dropping and dropping...
Not sure if this is a "market correction" for BU's stock but I predict it will keep on dropping until the School can only afford to admit International Students in.

Basically, the School is built along the Public Transit System along a street. The buidlings range from debilitated to modern. The architecture from third-world ugly to gaudy new.

Don't let the school brochure or Wikipedia entry fool you into believing that the Faculty are filled with Prize-winning Professors. Contrary to the belief, there are only about 4 "star professors" here who spend more time doing other things than teaching. They rely heavily on TAs to fulfill teaching requirements. Seeing Professors during Office Hours is nearly impossible. My other complaint about the faculty is that most professors are foreign. They speak with very heavy accents.

And lastly, the worse part about the School is the Student Body. This is most apathetic bunch of kids I've ever come across. Half of the Students are International. They usually stick to their own tribe and rarely allow outside interaction. The other half are Long Island/NYC kids who spend more time getting drunk than they do studying.

BU has essentially one decent Sport. Even then, the more superior school down the street has won more in the last 10 years. What's embarrasing about BU students is that they try to initiate a rivalry with BC. They don't even bother responding to whatever immature chants BU kids come up with at games because they know they're better than that. So if you're thinking about going to BU, many things will prevent you from having a productive experience such as Grade Inflation, widespread apathy, disinterested professors, crappy campus layout, high tuition for what it is and stupid drunk kids.

THE SCHOOL OF THEATERQuite BrightPerfomance Arts
THE SCHOOL OF THEATER IS TERRIBLE AND ALL THEY DO IS RUN AROUND NAKED AND SCREAM ALL DAY LONG. It is a disgrace to theater and humanity and I am disgusted and disappointed.

BU is a large school with every opportunity available. Its located in the center of boston so you always have something to do. With any large school its what you make of it. I had an excellent experience.
