I'm glad I'm not the only person whoEnglish
I'm glad I'm not the only person who was disillusioned by my college experience at BU. I felt cheated afterwards, with grades that I didn't feel reflect my intelligence and a ridiculous amount of loans. And even the best of students can become unmotivated after receiving a couple of undeserved Cs and dealing with some sadistic professors (some of whom couldn't even speak English well). I was amazed that there were only a couple of teachers that I respected and enjoyed at BU, I'd expected there to be more with the 40,000/yr price tag. If I could do it all over again, I would have gone somewhere cheaper and gotten better grades. After all, when you graduate, even if you graduate from a school with a great reputation, a poor GPA will prevent you from going to the next step (Professional school, or a comptetitive job). They certainly were stingy with their A's. And yes, socially the school and city were set up so that people with money rub it in everyone else's faces and those with flat, materialistic personalities thrive. Another reason why I would have preferred to go to a down to earth, state school, where I might have found more people I could relate to.

Super BrilliantOther
While not as selective as other schools ranked higher, the quality of academics at BU are far superior than most of them.

BU is a greatEnglish
BU is a great school to attend if you are either a really big nerd or a wanna-be Paris Hilton. There is always a party, however they are 70% female and tend to end early. If you click with your floor freshman year or you are really into activities, you will be fine.
