Great in many ways; get involved, make friends, and study hard. You'll like it I promise.

Question
Overall I like BU.BrightCommunications
Overall I like BU. I just finished my Freshman year and I've found the majority of the people I've encountered in the faculty very helpful and at least informative, however I have had my share of less than wonderful professors. But everyone has, no matter where they go to school. Do not come to BU if you are looking for a campus. Seriously. If you want to be in the city, this is the place. I love the way Bu is laid out because you feel like you're living in the city as opposed to being fenced in from it. Classes are going to be more difficult than expected.ALWAYS. But sometimes this is just because it is hard to figure out how professors want things done. Some professors and many TAs don't speak a lot of english and that really sucks but they are usually relatively helpful in class and in office hours granted that a lot of time hours will be during times you have class and that's often difficult to get around. BU has its good points and down points. I like it but its not for everyone.

Question
Bu was a great school to go toQuite BrightCommunications
Bu was a great school to go to and full of really wonderful professors. The key to getting the most out of it is making sure you take advantage of the excellent professors that are available. Don't get stuck with just any class you can get, go and seek out some the superb professors out there. Take advantage of the University Professors program force the faculty to let you into that full class that you really want to take. Beware that the dorms generally suck, unless you like living in a 12' X 12' box with another person. There are plenty of great apartments though and living off campus is really what it's all about. I would reccomend BU to anyone. Boston is the best town to go to school in and BU is populated with an extremely diverse student body. Keep in mind though, the student body is skewed toward intelligence and gobs of money. If that doesn't scare you, and you can't get into Harvard BU is the place for you.
