BU has so many problems on so manyBright
BU has so many problems on so many different levels that it makes our vast Gov'nt bureaucracy look efficient.

The Administration is very cold and indifferent to the wide problem of Grade Deflation. This is a tactic on part of a the School to retain as many disenchanted Students as possible by making it next to impossible for them to Transfer Out.

The Campus you ask? There is not Campus. BU is a series of scattered buildings along a Street they share with the Public Transit system.

Athletics? Without the Hockey Team (which lives more on its past glory these days), the rest of the School is a complete joke. Athletics don't exist here.

Student Groups? You run into the same tired too-cool-for-school EuroTrash and Asian Brats but they would never branch out from their little universe nor will they every allow you in. There is so much apathy and indifference here among the students that its toxic.

The dorms? Unless you're living in the newer buildings, BU dorms are nothing to write home about. The School has the worse curfew/visitation policy in the country.

Academics? Half the Professors or Instructors can't even speak proper English. Even worse, when you try to approach them about your unfair Grade, they merely give you a look of indifference. It's pretty clear they don't really care nor are they happy teaching there.

To sum it up, BU is a large urban school for International Students who don't have the grades for a true ELITE School. This is a very, very mediocre school. With that stated, is this truly worth the $46k+ per year?

The only bright spot is that the City of Boston is fantastic! Fenway Park is in the neighborhood.
However, once you run into Students from other Schools like Harvard, Tufts, BC and MIT, you just feel that they have a much better situation than yours. I hate that feeling and I hate BU for not doing anything about it.

Question
Quite Bright
Like any other college, some students and professors are rude. But overall, the atmosphere is friendly and fun.
