This school ate my soul. As a highly accomplished high school graduate I made a costly mistake when I chose GW. While it shows well with its bright city lights and the promise of highly ambitious students as colleagues, what you dont see when making your decision is the cliquey undertones and its grotesque wealth.

This school is only good for internships and networking.

Anyone that desires to learn instead of getting the grades and creating a resume is sorely disappointed by the quality of education and the lack of student interest in learning and using their brains.

If you are not wealthy or enjoy being surrounded by ultra wealthy, self-absorbed people then this is not the school for you. The very few who do not meet this criteria end up transferring, leaving a school of clones with none that go against the norm. GW may not be lacking in diversity as far as the stats go, however everyone comes from the same wealthy northeastern or occasionally west coast neighborhoods and has the same goals in life: to climb their way to the top of the socioeconomic chain and look good doing it. One semester left me so disgusted with these attitudes that I had to transfer.

As far as tuition goes, the only place that students see their money is in the dorms and fancy buildings. The administration and school departments are impersonal, unhelpful, and completely useless. Public schools offer more services, staff, and help than this overpriced private school.

GW only cares about drawing students in pretty dorms, fancy internships, and the lure of the city. Once you get here, they arent concerned with insignificant things like the students, only drawing every last penny out of their parents with ridiculously expensive (and completely malnourished) food plans, activities, and services.
