I wouldn't go to BU again if I could do it over. I have several reasons:

1. BU is really expensive! If you cannot get a good scholarship package or if you aren't rich don't go here.

2. Most of the people here are girls! I know that this reason may seem very superficial, but I need some balance in my classes. I might as well be going to an all girls school. Bu has a ratio of 30 girls :70 guys!

3. BU isn't really located in Boston. As far as I am concerned, it's in Brookline. Unless you are a theatre or medical major expect to rarely go into the city.

4. BU doesn't have the Design classes that will prepare me for a career in design. Their classes are limited more to fine arts like sculpture, painting, and drawing. They do have a graphic design major but; they require sculpture, painting, and drawing classes as prerequisites before you even begin the major course work.

Even though BU is one of the largest colleges in the nation, it feels limiting to me. Limiting in the kinds of people I can meet, the classes I can take, and the experiences that I have.

A lot of people will tell you that college is what you make of it. BU might still be the college for you, just make sure they have the program that you want, and the classes that you are interested in taking. Also make sure you can afford it.
