I have a B.A. & M.A. in Communication, Media & Theatre from NEIU. (B.A. - 2004 & M.A. - 2007)

I LOVED my time there! I really miss working with the faculty and staff in the CMT department. Each member of the department treats you like a human being. You do not feel like a number; which is something you don't often find these days.

I feel like I was more than adequately supported (academically) by the faculty during my time in both programs. Honestly, not only were they a super fun group of people to work with and learn from, but more importantly, they gave me the tools (through class discussions and assignments) and encouragement to continue my education and to pursue the Ph.D.

The undergraduate and graduate programs, offered by the CMT department, will allow you the opportunity to engage in learning and interacting with a diverse student body. Both programs, especially the master's, will allow you to contribute your own thoughts and experiences as well. I know that the master's program helped me to grow in ways that I never thought I would or could. It is the best academic department within the University, and, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

Finally, as with any college/university campus, NEIU is not without its own political problems. There have been a lot of changes at NEIU within the past year—and they all seem to be good. The University now has a new president, and I think there will be a lot of new and innovative things that will begin to appear now that a shift in administration has finally been made.
