Brown University is advertised as a great combination of a small liberal arts school and a big university, and I found this to be true and one of the best things about this place. It is small enough for you to get personal attention, but there are enough "big" things going on so you have plenty of opportunities as an undergraduate, even during your freshman/sophomore/junior years. Some people criticize this school as being too "easy," where the students are lazy. The curriculum and school are designed to be flexible and to encourage self-reflection in choosing your courses. So this leaves the window open for people to just slide by, but it also allows you to really pursue your interests and ideas, and you can go as far as you want to. How hard you work and how much you learn is directly proportional to how much effort you put in. Be ready to be responsible for your own education, and take charge of your own path through college.I have no regrets about going to Brown, and my memories of the students and faculty are very positive
