BU was my absolute last choice, but IQuite BrightArt & Design Department
BU was my absolute last choice, but I ended up coming here because it was the most financially realistic option for my family. The art program is something of a gem here- faculty are incredible, the assignments meaningful and challenging.

The social life is definitely intimidating and hard to get immersed in right away....its a huge school, so finding perfect friends doesn't come right away. The nightlife is similar- getting into parties is a lot about building connections. But with a little time, you find the right people to hang with, and learn where to go. Its really an incredible place, i was one of those kids who was super involved in teams and clubs in high school, but i'm not even very "involved" here yet, and i'm having the time of my life! There's a lotttt of kids here, but if you feel like you can find your place, BU has an amazing amount to offer.

I love BU! It has a great environmentQuite BrightArt & Design Department
I love BU! It has a great environment and competitive academics. The quality of academics is very high and I am constantly challenged, but my teachers alway help me out! It is not for everyone, really look into whether you want a city school or not, because there are a lot of city kids here! We get a bad rep for the stuck up rich kids, but not everyone is like that there are plenty of normal kids too! You will find a great good group of friends, its a really diverse campus!! There are tons of international students it is great! It is a little hard to get good housing unless u get pulled in but other then that I love everything about BU!!! It is a really great school with quality academics and teachers!

BU is a very large university, comprised ofBrightArt & Design Department
BU is a very large university, comprised of 11 smaller colleges, many of which are gems. Each individual college stands on its own with it's own dean and administration, but the BU philosophy is apparent in each school: serious academics and a classical approach to learning. BU makes no bones about this and candidly rejects social and educational fads. This gives the administration the reputation of being a little right of Attilla the Hun, but there is a real concern for the students here. BU is located in the heart of Boston, so the social life is fantastic, but the trade off is that you lack a traditional campus feel. If you love living in the city and blending into a diverse urban environment this is the place. If you want green quads and pep rallies, go to BC.
