The Boston University Engineering Department is a completeQuite BrightEngineering Department
The Boston University Engineering Department is a complete joke. Professors here are downright awful. Labs are a shit show with TAs that will provide you with no help. It seems as if the department is an old boys club filled with incompetent professors who have no idea how to educate. Grading is done mostly by undergraduates and mistakes happen all. the. time. Professors here are way behind the times and do not use technology in the classroom and have no idea how to use blackboard. Tests and assignments are not overly difficult, but the general terribleness of the engineering dept is enough to make you want to jump out a window. Overall:

1. Engineering professors at BU give the worst imaginable lectures. There really is no point in attending lectures.

2. Engineering labs are a shit show with zero preparation and zero organization on the part of professors/TAs (making labs the most frustrating things on earth)

3. Professors have no idea how to efficiently use blackboard or other educational technology (something most schools have successfully been using for over 10 years)DO NOT STUDY ENGINEERING AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY. Don't throw $45,000/year down the drain for a terrible quality of education.

What a joke BU is.Not so brightEngineering Department
What a joke BU is. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but I'm definitely transferring (losing some credits in the process, but won't tolerate another two years here). I'm sick of being the smartest kid in every single one of my classes only because I'm the only one who consistently does the homework and gives an ounce of effort. The students are lazy slackers. It feels like a posh commuter school here.

There is absolutely no academic support.Quite BrightEngineering Department
There is absolutely no academic support. All they care about is money and do not care about the individual student at all. They won't care if you're doing poorly in any classes, which will likely be many classes depending on your major since they deflate grades so much. Also, there are so many stuck up and snotty kids. Besides being in a great city, BU is not a good school to attend.
