BU is definitely what you make of it.Quite BrightOther
BU is definitely what you make of it. You're setting yourself up to be disappointed if you want an environment where everything will be taken care of for you, like an educational summer camp or similar. The university has amazing resources; they are made known to you, but not handed to you on a platter. If you make up your mind to milk BU for all its worth, then you'll be guaranteed a great experience.

My freshemen year I attended Northeastern University and I did not like it all. This was because I believed that I simply needed an education, and where I received that education was irrelevant. Mid-point through the spring I sat down and performed a careful analysis of where I would be happier. My decision finally rested with Boston University. I love BU and think it is an excellent institution with almost every possible area of study.

There are close to 4,000 colleges and universities in the United States. One of those is a perfect match for you too. Make sure you carefully weigh all of the possibilities before you make a decision. If you do not like the school, it is your fault for selecting poorly, not because the university doesn't fit for you. Finally, most "elite" schools make thier students look great. BU students make BU look great.

This is a pretty good back-up school for students looking at top schools. You really cant undervalue the college experience in Boston. If you didnt get into an ivy-level undergrad program you can transfer to one from BU or go to any graduate program from here. If you have the desire BU can take you any where, you just need to do the work.

Its a good school, i turned down a half ride from NYU to go here and i dont regret it, but if i had been accepted by duke/uva (i was wait-listed) I would have gone.

Also, for you pre-med students, check out the Biomedical Engineering Program here, its tied with MIT. Very good to get into any med school. There is grade deflation here... half the class really does get a C+ or below, so you earn your grades. You must work hard, BU doesnt give out A, A-; you can mess around and still get B range, but thats not going to get you into good grad schools.
