BU is a love/hate place.Quite BrightOther
BU is a love/hate place. If you like the Urban Campus, you'll like the Campus. If not, then you won't. Some people are arrogant, but most despite their cockiness tend to be good people. There is a huge amount of diversity - ethnically and socially, so one should not have a tough time fitting in. Everyone is approachable to a degree, most people are helpful. There are a few who are not, but that is like any large university.

Question
I have met some brilliant people here, butQuite BrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I have met some brilliant people here, but many waste their lives drinking on the weekends. Mostly everyone is focused on material things--how much money you have, how expensive your clothes are, getting the best job so that you can earn the most money. The people here are not friendly. I personally think that if you're a minority, it's easier to make friends because they seems to cling onto each other, even if they are the minority. The university in general is very nice. Good food. The dorms are pretty awful unless you get into one of the old hotels or one of the brownstones. Professors are usually very helpful. The class work is pretty heavy, and BU is stressing grade-deflation, but teachers are more willing to give you a better grade if you come to talk to them, get extra help, and show improvement. The one thing that I do like about the school is the Catholic Center. The campus ministers are awesome! There's a lot to do here to stay active in your faith.

Question
BU is a greatEnglish
BU is a great school to attend if you are either a really big nerd or a wanna-be Paris Hilton. There is always a party, however they are 70% female and tend to end early. If you click with your floor freshman year or you are really into activities, you will be fine.
