There are so many pros/cons to BU, butBusiness - Management and Administration
There are so many pros/cons to BU, but i'll try to list a few. First of all, the "campus" is virtually non-existant both in terms of aesthetics and school spirit. However, if your an independent person who can seek out his own social life and appreciate a great city without getting depressed then go for it. If you are an introvert, nobody is going to hold your hand here and your not going to make any freinds. There is some greek life, but it mostly sucks. BU is definetly not a "party" school but there is always stuff to do on weekends, and there is something for everyone. If you are looking for the traditional greek life and football, tailgating etc etc, go to BC or a southern school. As far as the academics go, I have yet to have a bad professor but be warned many of the TA's speak horrible English. I hope this helps.

Be ready for COLD weather, so much that you get to be on a first name basis with the delivery people from the DOZENS of restaurants that deliver to on campus housing.

Question
As with any large institution the sense ofBrightBiology
As with any large institution the sense of being an individual is often lost. Boston University always treats its students as nothing more than a number and a source of tuition money. In most cases and especially at the freshman/sophmore level classes are poorly taught and operated and in some extreme cases degrade your own intelligence.

Specific Comments:
-The Writing Program is a joke and will most likely have a severly negative affect on own own writing abilities.

-The Administration is lost in its own world of how to turn a profit without any concern on the sub par quality of education that the university provides.

-Intro Biology and Biochemistry labs are completely useless.
-In almost all cases academic advisors are not familiar with the program that they are a part of.
-Always get transfer credit requests in writing because more often than not the university will screw you over on credits from other universitys without some form of proof of prior approval.

Summary: Essentially the value a Boston University Education is not worth the outrageously high price of tuition.
